Likvidačný fond menový, Prague (Bratislava office)

Likvidačný fond menový (Monetary Liquidation Fund) was established in 1947 to liquidate deposits fixed under the decree of the President of the Republic on the restoration of the Czechoslovak currency. It was established as an autonomous legal entity with its headquarters in Prague and an office in Bratislava, which began operating on 12 March 1948. It was active until 1953, when it went into liquidation based on Act No 41/1953.

In 1965, files of the Bratislava office of Likvidačný fond menový held in the corporate archive of the Regional Institute of Štátna banka československá for Slovakia underwent a disposal process ordered by the Ministry of Finance, during which records of permanent documentary value were selected for preservation. This fonds consists mainly of circulars, guidelines and balance sheets related to the release of fixed deposits between 1947 and 1953. The archival fonds has been kept at the Národná banka Slovenska archives building at 8 Cukrová Street in Bratislava since 2003.
