Collection of Photographs
The Collection of Photographs consists of photos taken before 1993 and those relating to the activities of Národná banka Slovenska after 1993.
The photographs taken before 1993 concern mainly the activities of Štátna banka československá and its legal predecessors; the oldest of them are dated to the 1920s. They are mainly photos of bank buildings, buildings whose construction was funded with loans provided by financial institutions, and photos of various financial institutions’ staff members.
Photographs taken after the establishment of Národná banka Slovenska in 1993 are arranged in chronological order in separate thematic sections according to the occasion on which they were taken. Currently, the archives store photographs from the period 1923 – 2016.
In addition to 28,000 paper photographs, the collection also includes negatives, slides, rolls of film, CDs and DVDs.
